A curious tortoise dreams of flying and meets two friendly ducks who offer to help make his wish come true. But sometimes getting what you want can lead to unexpected trouble.
A tortoise lived by a pond.
Una tortuga vivía junto a un estanque.
Two ducks were his friends.
Dos patos eran sus amigos.
They liked to talk together every day.
Les gustaba conversar juntos todos los días.
One summer, the pond became very dry.
Un verano, el estanque se secó mucho.
There was no water left.
No quedaba agua.
The ducks said,
Los patos dijeron,
"We must fly to another pond."
"Debemos volar a otro estanque."
"But you cannot fly with us."

The tortoise was sad.

He said,

The ducks thought for a long time.
