The Man & the Satyr
L'Uomo e il Satiro
A man meets a strange forest creature called a satyr and invites him home for dinner. But the satyr becomes confused by something unexpected about his new human friend.
A man was walking in the forest on a cold winter day.
Un uomo stava camminando nella foresta in una fredda giornata invernale.
He met a satyr who lived in the woods.
Incontrò un satiro che viveva nei boschi.
"Come to my home," said the satyr.
"Vieni a casa mia," disse il satiro.
"You can warm up there."

The man was very cold.
L'uomo aveva molto freddo.
His hands were freezing.

He put his hands near his mouth and blew on them.

"Why do you do that?" asked the satyr.
"Perché fai questo?" chiese il satiro.
"I blow on my hands to make them warm," said the man.

They went to the satyr's home.

The satyr gave the man hot soup.

The soup was very hot.
La zuppa era molto calda.
The man blew on the soup to cool it down.
L'uomo soffiò sulla zuppa per raffreddarla.
The satyr saw this and became angry.
Il satiro vide questo e si arrabbiò.
"Go away!" said the satyr.
"Vattene!" disse il satiro.
"First you blow to make things hot.
Prima soffi per riscaldare le cose.
Then you blow to make things cold.
Poi soffi per raffreddare le cose.
I cannot trust someone who does two different things with the same breath!" The satyr pushed the man out of his home.

The man had to walk back into the cold forest alone.
L'uomo dovette tornare indietro nella fredda foresta da solo.
