Der Mann und der Satyr
A man meets a strange forest creature called a satyr and invites him home for dinner. But the satyr becomes confused by something unexpected about his new human friend.
A man was walking in the forest on a cold winter day.
Ein Mann wandelte an einem kalten Wintertag durch den Wald.
He met a satyr who lived in the woods.
Er begegnete einem Satyr, der in den Wäldern lebte.
"Come to my home," said the satyr.
„Komm zu mir nach Hause", sagte der Satyr.
"You can warm up there."
"Dort kannst du dich wärmen."
The man was very cold.
Der Mann fror sehr.
His hands were freezing.
Seine Hände waren eiskalt.
He put his hands near his mouth and blew on them.
Er hielt seine Hände vor den Mund und hauchte sie an.
"Why do you do that?" asked the satyr.
"Warum tust du das?", fragte der Satyr.
"I blow on my hands to make them warm," said the man.
"Ich puste auf meine Hände, um sie zu wärmen", sagte der Mann.
They went to the satyr's home.
Sie gingen zum Heim des Satyrs.
The satyr gave the man hot soup.
Der Satyr gab dem Mann heiße Suppe.
The soup was very hot.
Die Suppe war sehr heiß.
The man blew on the soup to cool it down.
Der Mann blies auf die Suppe, um sie abzukühlen.
The satyr saw this and became angry.
Der Satyr sah dies und wurde zornig.
"Go away!" said the satyr.
"Geh weg!", sagte der Satyr.
"First you blow to make things hot.
„Erst bläst du, um die Dinge heiß zu machen.
Then you blow to make things cold.
Dann bläst du, um die Dinge kalt zu machen.
I cannot trust someone who does two different things with the same breath!" The satyr pushed the man out of his home.
Ich kann niemandem trauen, der mit demselben Atem zwei verschiedene Dinge tut!" Der Satyr stieß den Mann aus seinem Haus hinaus.
The man had to walk back into the cold forest alone.
Der Mann musste allein zurück in den kalten Wald wandern.
