The Dog, the Rooster, & the Fox
A dog and a rooster become traveling companions and decide to spend the night in a forest. When a clever fox discovers them, he tries to use his cunning to get what he wants.

One night, they stopped to sleep in the forest.

The rooster flew up into a tall tree.

The dog slept under the tree.

In the morning, the rooster sang his loud song.
„Kukuryku!”
"Cock-a-doodle-doo!"
Głodny lis usłyszał śpiew koguta.
A hungry fox heard the rooster singing.
Lis podszedł do drzewa.
The fox came to the tree.
Spojrzał w górę na koguta.
He looked up at the rooster.
„Dzień dobry, piękny kogucie!”
"Good morning, beautiful rooster!"
powiedział lis.
said the fox.
„Masz taki wspaniały głos!”
"You have such a wonderful voice!"
„Zejdź proszę na dół, żebym mógł cię lepiej zobaczyć.”
"Please come down so I can see you better."
Kogut był mądry.
The rooster was smart.
Wiedział, że lis chce go zjeść.
He knew the fox wanted to eat him.
„Dziękuję,”
"Thank you,"

„Zaraz zejdę.”
"I will come down soon."

Lis był podekscytowany.
The fox was excited.

He ran to the bottom of the tree to wake up the dog.
